This is probably a silly question, I have an excellent Tim De Paravicini designed headphone amp that was purchased a long time ago thru the HF News Accessories Club. Even today, it is a great unit and I can't really imagine anything better. I'm using a Chinese Music Angel preamp and have often wondered just how good it actually is - it sounds fine to my ears fine but it's not possible for me to home audition more exotic stuff. Can the headphone amp, thru a suitable headphone to RCA adapter, be used to drive a power amp directly? And if so, any recommendations to a reasonably priced but good quality adapter?

Many thanks,

as far as i know, "real" tube preamps are very very very expensive such as mark leivionson etc. for solid states, there are a lot of preamps of different price range from $100- to infinity. tube headphone amp/preamp, to me, is a good option because i want to get tube-like sound from my speakers.
