so i just opened one of the HE-400 that was returned and it smells like smoke, slightly. It is mostly noticeable inside the cardboard box. On the headphones themselves its not that noticeable and will probably go away if its kept out of the cardboard box.
 
In the future, even though I am very busy, i will inspect all returns before processing refunds as I do not believe this buyer would deserve a refund.

I think I can definitely get behind an HE-400 for $200. I'm still trying to get rid of the smokey smell in my apartment from the last renter, so I don't think I'll mind it on the headphones.

Well my HE-400's arrived yesterday and I didn't know they were used you would have no way knowing that they were. Perfect condition with Velour pads and all materials just like new. Not bad for $275 with Priority shipping.
