Testing the BHSE revised power supply and Shuguang 6CA7 tubes as possible upgrades. No box for the PSU because they're all being powdercoated

Very interesting news, Justin.

Shuguang Treasure EL34 (6CN7) are generally considered better than the Mullard tubes provided with today's BHSEs --they also are more expensive. If your tests show some improvement, will these Shuguang tubes equip the batch #3 and 4 BHSEs, possibly as an option, or is it too late?

Same question for the PSU improvements you are carrying out.

Best regards.

it would be as an option, at a fair price and with a 1 year warranty from HeadAmp on the tubes

The PSU improvements are part of the batch that is being assembled now

Justin, have you any plans on making a quad of Shuguang Treasure [ 6CN7 ] available from Headamp ?. If so at what cost ?

if i decide they're worth offering as an option with the BHSE, then i could sell them separately as well

it would be as an option.  another manufacturer offers this as an option w/ a 1-year warranty @ $480.  i would offer it for much less than that and they would be setup in your actual amplifier before shipping

Really great, Justin! I order the Shuguang tubes right now, provided this option is "far less expensive" than the competitor's (Woo Audio, I suppose) --therefore, far less than $480. Hence another question: what's the option price? $200?

And an extra question: what does the PSU upgrade consist of? I dig technical details. Does it provide a significant SQ improvement?

Please notice that I don't require any delivery date notice!

Many thanks for your work.

Phil95, hopefully you've already seen the posts on Treasures and Psvanes not that long ago in this thread?

We need to stop using the term 6CN7 in this context. That is a different tube model to the correct one 6CA7.

Sorry for confusing tube codes. I have a very faint remembrance of Psvane (Pavane?) tube reviews... But I can't remember how they compared to the Shuguang Treasures.
