Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition

Using KT88's in a Blue Hawaii is a very good way of blowing up your amp.  The amp is designed for the EL34 only, the 6CA7 is technically not a EL34 but the difference is just big enough so that Sylvania/GE didn't have to pay royalties to Mullard for producing them.  The KT77 is a similar case, very close design that should work just fine.  The same does not apply to KT66's, KT88's, KT90's, KT120's etc.

Are you talking to me, Birgir? They are a matched quad of EL-34's. I actually bought them based on your advice.

I wasn't talking to you Aaron, somebody mentioned KT88's earlier and while it was probably a typo it is better to set the record straight.

I have a quad of winged C (SED) EL34 for my WES but haven't tried them yet.  Was waiting for my Shugang 50 years Treasures 6CA7 to die first.  Maybe it's time to try them out.

These are (date) quad-matched original-issue Mullard EL34/6CA7 xf1s.  Have been saving these for a while for the BHSE.  Hopefully sometime later this year they actually see use.
