My ex-wife and I watched Jeopardy every night in her 2nd and 3rd trimester, and besides perking up to the tune when my daughter was a baby, she's 13 now, and an excelling honors student. Does that count?

She likes cell-phones better than head-phones, though

Oh well, even if it doesn't work the kids get exposed to some great music.

Penn and Teller nailed it.
However, as I said, anything to get the kiddies to hear something more ennobling and engaging than Eminem or "Salt 'n' Pepa" is fine by me. I don't ask that the kids know Meistersinger by heart by six, but a little culture never hurt anyone.

Are you saying "Push It Real Good", shouldn't be the theme to which our youth chooses their values with?

I grew up on Black Sabbath and look how I turned out. Well, maybe Jackson Browne was the equalizer (or the Pretender).

Salt 'n' Pepa is probably not the most salubrious influence for the kiddies. No, not at all.
One can listen to less-than-ennobling music, but it needs to be balanced out with the bland, up-beat, and plot-rich tunes of Jackson Browne or Matchbox 20. Only by coupling the wild with adult contempo will all be well.
