Head-Fi RSS?

I think WAP access would be cooler than an RSS feed, but I doubt either would be on Jude or Neil's minds since they are likely concentrating on keeping this place just running optimally as it is, or even attending to their main (paid) jobs

Personally, no interest in WAP. RSS/Atom though would be a huge time saver for many of us. In fact I think Head-Fi is one of only two sites I visit daily that doesn't have RSS/Atom. Think about it guys. Looks like there's at least some support in vBulletin.

I tried the RSS feeds for the forums that I check the most but I found that my reader can only cope with about 20 new feeds to the channel (not sure if that's a RSS standard or a program limitation) and the forums that I check can easily have 30+ new replies..

In the end I think just coming to the forum works better for me - hoever it's pretty cool that the option is there for other people who prefer it.

It updates through Google Reader. Not sure how often though and not all posts. One suggestion would be to have a different feed for each forum. I think to be truly usable that may be necessary. Easier to browse, filter, update and could skip forums we don't regularly read. Good start.

I think if you subscribe from a specific forum, it is a distinct feed for that forum.

I have Members' Lounge and Music Forum subscriptions--I'll check them over now to see how they turned out.
