Ive tried it once. SR 009 out of a Blue Hawaii is hands down the best system i have heard thus far. Every note is sooooo powerful. Almost dont even want to hear it again because I just cant afford it.

Macbook air, DVD/CD/SACD player (assuming people want to bring a cd or sacd to listen to), 
 
Vinyl: Technics SL-D1 with Shure M97XE into an ART DJ Pre2 if anyone wants some "entry level, but quite good" vinyl to try.  It's harder to bring and I might need a full table for it, but I've done it before and would do it again if there's interest.  
 
Minidisc: I could bring a minidisc deck or portable player for fun as well if anyone cared.  Weird unpopular formats FTW.

If anyone got the special edition black HD598s , that would also be a cool to see how they compare to someone's originals, since the weight was different in the description
