Howdy folks,

After an exhaustive research, I've decided on Head Direct EF-1 and Graham Slee Novo as my two finalists for my first real heaphone amp.
I currently own a Denon D2000, but hopefully will be adding another can sometime this year (Senn 650 or one of the Beyers?).
If you have experience with either or both of these amps, I'd love to hear from you.
By the way, due to the continual slide of the British Pound, Novo can be had for $360 including shipping. EF-1 is on sale right now for $320 including shipping. At these prices, I think these two amps represent a real good "bang for the buck."
I'd really appreciate some input. Thanks!

EF-1 is a good looking amp , but not dead quiet.
I had a change to try the amp at my local shop.
I turned the volume all the way down , still I could hear music.
Strange.
So I didn't buy it.

Active volume control benefit sound quality a lot, but it is not balance at very low volume (which will not affect normal listening).
