What? Your HE350 sounds like crap? Let's try to fix it up!

Tools:
HE350
AKG K240 Earpads
Thin damping foam
Felt

I have bunch of headphones to see what sounds good, from time to time I fix some of them, and eventually I've mastered this modding skill. When I got the HE350, originally I was going to use the its headband for my HE6, but now I'm selling my HE6, I won't bother changing stuff around.

Instruction:

Step 1 - remove ear pads, and put on some felt, I got these felt from my broken DT880.

Step 2 - find some thin foam, as damping material to reduce treble and produce more bass, put on top of the felt

Step 3 - put on some AKG K240 Earpads, or some other leather ear pads to keep bass in shape

Done! Let's see the measurements!

Thanks for reading! Hope it helps!

I don't own an HE350, but I love the way you were able to document using response curves so beautifully the improvement in performance of the headphone. Good on ya! Why aren't you manufacturing headphones?? You have skill...   ---)

Well making headphone isn't that easy... I've been thinking about making Orpheus clones... However apparently it's not that simple :)
