Hello everyone,
 
I just joined Head-fi. I've been reading a lot in the last few weeks and I really like the head-fi community.  As I'm about to buy my new cans (currently I own the Sennheiser Momentum Infinit Redbull LE), I have few questions regarding them.
 
I've narrowed down my search to the HE-500. From what I've read, they really need some power to shine. I'm not too keen on getting a desktop amp/dac combo. I would like to have the option of moving within the house (bedroom, living room etc.) Therefore my question is whether the DX90 will drive them to their full potential? Would DX90 plus an external amp be a viable choice?

:bump: I also will be temporarily driving my HE-500s with a DX90 and look forward to any feedback.

I seriously doubt that the DX90 can properly drive the HE 500 planars.  Seems to me that both of you should ask iBasso that question and/or post in the Portable Source Gear sub-section of the forum, probably on a thread devoted to the DX90.
