Guys
Thanks to some of your ideas, I got the HE-5+EF5 Combo and it sounds pretty good. Only snag is, there is a pretty tangible hum when the system is connected, wondering if this is due to the power supply from the amp and if there is something I should change in the Amp setting (the amp's back has options for 115 vs 230V and another voltage option?). At any rate is there any way to eliminate or reduce this hum? If you cant already tell, im pretty new to this headphone thing

Tube amps require some time to warm up. The voltage setting should not be changed for your region.

sounds like a ground loop to me. Disconnect the inputs and see if the hum will go away.

Thanks guys, when I moved the voltage stub from 230 to 115V, the hum disappeared - guessing this is the input voltage so it would make sense since im in the US. There is another tab for 16V and 18V, im guessing this is the output voltage to the amp, i left it at 18V and it works fine...do most EF5 owners have it on the same setting? Ima shoot an email to Fang later...thanks guys
