Like the title says, which one should I go with? Currently have akg k240s and shp9500. Laptop > Fiio k3 > schiit magni heresy.

Have not heard the m560, but own and love the 400i. It’s probably one of the most UNDERRATED headphones out there. I’ve compared it to all sorts of other way more expensive headphones like the LCD-3, HE-560, and HD800. The 400i scales so well with better amplification, you can swap the pads and cable, and it is a planar with that wonderful linear bass.

I went and bought the he-4xx, hopefully I won’t be disappointed.

Be sure to give it 1 week of listening so your brain filter has time to adjust to the new sound signature. Also, don’t be afraid to move the pads such that the thickest part of the pads are forward instead of back.

There are some cheap cable swaps you can do too if you don’t like the default cable.
