Dear HDVD800 users and Head-Fi friends,

I am writing to check any of you have the successful experience on installing an HDVD800 into your MAC pro?

I tried just a few minutes ago, connect USB with my 2015 MAC Pro (OS version most update to date), open HDVD800, unzip the firmware, install it, but it failed.

Thanks in advance for any experience sharing on my issue.

You grabbed the drivers from here?

You then accepted the license agreement and installed?

Here are the install directions:
Updating from MAC
Download “Sennheiser_HDVD800_FWUpdate_1_04_MAC.zip”
Connect the HDVD 800 via USB to the computer
Switch on the HDVD 800
Start the app (in the zip) and follow the instructions given in the dialogue boxes

I did all the steps mentioned above. The "problem" still exists. However, it's finally resolved only by adjusting the MAC sound preferences.

See fotos below, since the HDVD800 itself has already the update version drive, it occurred the problem window and I cannot hear the sound and enjoy the music at my HD800.

By directing the sound output to HDVD800, which is automatically in the option list, every beautiful thing just happened.
