Is there anybody that has compared those two headphones? I wonder if the difference is very big. The price difference is huge.

Unfortunately I've only compared in rather invalid conditions (meet / mini-meet). So take this with a heavy pinch of salt:


Soundwise, with stock steel HD25-1 cable, there's not a price-justified difference. But with OFC cable (putting both phones on a level plane cable-wise), there is a price-justified difference. Physically, the 25-1 offers far more isolation and is more stable on the head. However it does put more presure on the ears too.

Did you mean hd25-1 vs hd25SP ?

If so, they're quite different, 25SP at half price use more simple headband, slightly different impedance, sound darker / bass heavy with little high frequency extension, and there's not much details. On the other hand HD25-1 sound very much like scaled down 580 with more forward mids. If sound quality is high on your preference, don't get the 25sp - they're primarily good for isolation, with quite decent sound.

Buy from meier-audio.de, Meier is great and they're at least 500SEK cheaper there, compared to what they cost in Sweden.
