Only 150 to be sold. Shipping December 22nd. That, and the fact that they're not being called the HD7XX tells me this is not a new production run.

So, does this mean the HD700 is going the way of the HD650?

With the HD660S at $500 and the HD800S at $1700 there's a big hole in the Sennheiser product line up at around a grand. HD700S, anyone?

The HD700 seems to be a solid set of cans for 400$ when modded, I don't think it would be a bad idea for Sennheiser to make an HD700S and fix that ice pick treble a bit.
