The HD650 in its little corduroy box!

My setup! 19" Samsung LCD (soon to be 26"), watercooled home built computer based on the lian li all-aluminum chasis, watercooled AMD 3600+ cpu w/ 1GB DDR400 ram in dual channel and a GeForce 6800ultra watercooled videocard, Polk LSI9s, SVS PC+ subwoofer, HK330.... and the 650s!

Note the giant subwoofer in the left corner of the room... can you say "THUMP"!?

Note the watercooled computer next to the Harman Kardon AVR330.

Sounds great to me! A LOT better than when connected straight out of the audigy 2zs or ipod, that much is sure.

I did find this bit odd; I found that the HD555 and the HD650 were driven to just about the same volume at the same volume setting on my receiver (i.e. when I switched between the two, there wasnt a volume disparity between the two)... why is that?

The HD555 are 50 ohm and the 650s are 300 ohm impedance, I figured there would be a drop in current and hence a large decrease in volume with the 650s.
