I'd caution against re-cables myself.....especially without a mega high end source and amp, I don't think a re-cable is as cost effective as other upgrades.

Congrats my friend. You have enter the dark realm of sennheiser dream product, the HD650. Buckle your belt and dig a hole for your wallet...you are gonna need it very deep since the headphones are screaming for an upgrade!!!

Seriously they scale up very well with good materials so if you decide to upgrade any parts of your setup you will upgrade your sound. If you are also in speakers equipment it's a great plus since they will both upgrade with each new toys you throw at them, except headphones amp of course hehe.
