Just noticed the HD650 is on sale at Amazon for $431.56 with free shipping. I listen to mostly jazz, classical, and classic rock and absolutely love mine. I power mine with a Valhalla amp and all serious listening sources are analog through a Carver preamp. Admittedly I do prefer speakers though.

Yeh I noticed this too. check out camelcamelcamel.com they graph the price fluctuation over time, and the hd 650 has been all over the board in the past week. The hd 600 has stayed more level, I'm currently deciding between the two...

I bought it but then cancelled the order. I'm now wondering if I made a really bad decision...
