[hd650650]

Hi all, my first post here after lurking for a while so hello to everybody. 
 
I'm having an issue with my hd650 headphones. Out of the box they sounded much better than my hd595's however after about 60 hours of burn in time they are starting to sound a little bit worse. This is slightly worrying as the HD 650 is starting to sound a bit muffled and muted and lack a bit of clarity compared to the overall brightness of the 595. Is this an issue that would be resolved through further burning in or is this a general characteristic of the 650's?
 
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What's your associated gear? Amp/dac? 
The 650's will sound terrible without proper amping.

Oh sorry, forgot to mention that. My amp is a Graham Slee novo, source is Marantz cd5004

The HD 555's modified to be the HD 595's sound darker than the HD 650's, so you probably just don't like their smooth sound signature.
