If you could have got the Koss ESP-950’s at the $560 that I did I would totally recommend them over the others. They are running $999 right now and have run much cheaper and much cheaper used? I prefer them over the 650’s and 880’s.

I like the DT880 better... and I find my DT880 250 premiums pretty much unsurpassed in comfort ..can wear them much longer than most headphones.. I have a DV336 for mine.. I don't like the clamp of the senns at all.. at all. and I also can not abide dual cable entry it drives me up the wall to have cables running down both sides of my head..

The sound w/ the DV336 + vinatage GE 6AS7GA // RCA 6SN7GT + DT880's makes me quite happy indeed..

I maybe that one weirdo that likes the DT880 more.. but whatever I do..

Could you elaborate a bit more? DV336? I get the tubes. What amp are you using them in?

Yep pretty much. It does take a while for them to deliver though. There should be an estimated delivery time on the drop site.

oh right it is a DarkVoice336 SE (~$200ish) chinese tube amp.. frequently on massdrop.

SO while I really like the amp +DT880 combo.. especially with the replacement tubes.. my darkvoice had "issue" in the form of bad solder joint that made one channel keep dropping... and I was past the return window and sending it to china didn't really make sense .. paying anyone to work on it wouldn't be economical ..........so i said "meh" and opened it up (with a ~general idea what I was doing) and tracked down the issue and fixed it..

for many it would have been a doorstop however with the defect 35~ish days from receiving it..
