i had the HP1s, HD800, HD650, High end woody Grados and even the ED9s and i just feel that when taking price, comfort, sound, and the ability to not worry about handling them like the really expensive cans not to mention replaceable parts at hand whenever you need them it just feels like this is the all around best headphone every made. I freakin love em!

Good for you.

I'd take DT880s over them any day.

lol I sold the HD 600 once I got the SRH840, and realized how thin the HD 600 sounded.

They were really good while they lasted though.

I like the HD600 a lot. I was skeptical after hearing the HD650, which I thought was too dark and veiled, but I think the 600 is actually quite nice. Keep enjoying your gear!

If you like a dark presentation. The brutal truth is Id take K601s, K701s, HFI-2200s or Pro 2500s any day over HD600s. But to each his own

I'm going to agree... with quality source + tube amplification, HD600 (new silver mesh version) came out #1 for me.... with Grado being a close second (more an issue with comfort than sound).

And I've tried many headphones like the AD700/900, K601/701, HD650, SRH840, DT770/880, Woody SR225/GS1K and more.

Interesting...there really must be a couple of versions of the HD650. Mine is not veiled and is not dark sounding. The bass is not overbearing. It is one of the new ones...and it sounds noticeably better than my HD600 which I sold after auditioning the new HD650. Glad you like your HD600. They are fine phones.
