How many of you own a jubilee AND a 600 / 650 and have really A/B compared them?
 
I just bought a jubilee this week and compared to my standard HD580 (which i got in a pack with the lucas when it came out) and really noticed a decent difference
 
I find the jubilee more transparant sounding where the standard 580 is louder but muffled like there a cloth over the mike in the recordings i listened, strange since theyre both 300 ohm
I also red about burn in can change a phones sound since my old one has really LOTS of playing time over the past where the jubilee has been sitting in a vitrine according the 1st owner who bought it in the store in the 1995's
 
I have taken the foam from both as i read it has effect in the highs and it does
 
Now what i would like to know is what users notice in difference with the 600 and 650
I havent got any of those and heard them only in busy stores
 
by the way the plug on the cable on the jubilee isnt exactly the same as the standard 580, its thinner, same as the cable from my older HD560 ovationII which is for sell
 
Now im not sure if i can do a 650 cable mod on the jubilee.
