Hi,

Has anyone tried to clean the ear cushions of a HD580? I want to clean these but don't know if they're washable, or dry clean only.

Also, are both the ear cushions and cable removeable? They seem to be pretty secure, and I didn't want to just rip them out.

I just used some soft paper to clean my V6 pads. I do not think it is a good idea to wash those pads.

I cleaned the pads of my HD580s with water on a soft cloth and while they dont smell any more they seem to be more pale. Yes, both the cable and the pads are removable. Dont be afraid, just yank hard.

Also, cover them with a plastic bag or something when you're not using them, keeps the lint from collecting.
