Yes, I enjoyed watching movies with the HD555, but I haven't used the x-fi so can't comment on that.

Wow, creepy, I have the X-Fi surround sound. I never got the analog 6 channels to come out, but it works great with dolby digital and dts passthrough in the optical to my surround sound system, and I've also been considering the HD555's though not sure on those yet, and not so much for movie watching. The X-Fi is a great choice though, I never had any complaints about it, though I'm not sure it'd be the best choice if you plan to use the headphone out on it. Also don't even attempt to run it with linux. It loves windows, but hates linux, but then again it's creative, they've always hated linux lol.
