I am thinking about buying the HD555 headphones to use with my computer. I am currently using the PX100's and they work very well for me. The HD555's are circumaural and I wonder how comfortable they are for someone who wears glasses. Anyone here wear glasses while using the HD555's that can tell me about this? Thanks.

They are a little clampy but I don't wear glasses so I don't know if that effects the overall comfort at all, but they are definitely a headphone I could wear for hours without discomfort.

i was afraid myself about the glasses issue but they are really comfortable with or without glasses. in contrast with, say, the grados

They are really comfortable. I used to spend even like 8-10h in a row in them, and felt no pressure, no heat, they are simply perfect comfort-wise.

I have glasses, and owned the HD555 for a short time. They clamped too much for my taste, and pressed the legs of my glasses to my head. I didn't found them comfortable.
But then, I have a big head....

I wear glasses, and my HD 555's still feel comfortable over them. They do clamp a bit--but just enough to feel secure and "well-coupled" to my head. Even modded, they don't get very hot even after long listening sessions.

I have both the PX 100 and the HD 555.

If you like the PX 100, I do not recommend buying the HD 555. At least without somehow trying it out first. The sound signatures are completely different. The PX 100 is a very warm headphone with ample mid-bass and lighter highs. The HD 555 is much more clinical and brighter-sounding. It has the advantages of having farther-extending deep bass, better detail, and a good soundstage. But it is not a very fun headphone to listen to.

I can only tolerate listening to the HD 55 with absurd EQing. I've basically written them off.

So as someone used to the PX100 sound signature, the HD 555 was a very disappointing purchase. It is very comfortable, though.

So PM me to dispose of them.
