My HD415's left side stopped working today, i wonder if it can be fixed? and is it easy enough for a newbie?

ive got the screwdriver needed to open it, the pads come off easy enough...mhm.

Help?

ps: a friend of mine plugged it into his Audigy 2 Zs and his computer restarted for some odd reason, might have been a power surge mhm?!

Open it up and look at the cables from the jack to the driver. If the left side stopped working, there's a good chance that there's a bad connection somewhere. The easiest place to look is at the driver. If not, then it's somewhere else along the cable and it'd be best just to recable the headphones.
