I have a HD280 pro and i am very happy with them, now i am going to buy a Sony MZ-N1.

Will the HD280 works good with this Minidisc?
Will i need an amp?
Any recommendations of other headphones for this minidisc?

Yes, the HD280 Pro will work perfectly with the MZ-N1, as it works well with all portables. I don't think you'll need an amp.

Congratulations on the HD280 and N1, that is an excellent combination. I hope you enjoy it!

EDIT: If you're wondering about other potential headphones for the N1, and since you're already in the league of the HD280, the only phone I can recommend that could compare to the HD280 (for portable use) is the Sony MDR-V6 / MDR-7506. But as you already have the HD280, I don't think you need to get the V6. That is my opinion.
