I had the T1 and now I have the HD800.
I've compared both in my setup with my OTL amplifier.
I found the HD800 better than the T1 because of the frequency response, the comfort and the soundstage.
I was impressed how deep is HD800 lower bass.
I've read that someone defined the HD800 as bassless...it isn't true. It depends how you drive the headphone.
