Is it possible to connect a pair of HD 598s to my x41 base for surround sound and then plug the ModMic directly into the xbox controller? Any help would be appreciated.

I imagine it would be fine to plug the 598's into the base.
 
The modmic can't connect directly to the controller though from what I've heard. Someone tried to just use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm with the modmic but that didn't work out. People say you need something like the Astro Mixamp to use it on the xbox.
