Ok, apart from the limited thing..

am i better off with a HD600 soundwise?
i can get those for around 150 euros 2nd hand

the 600s sound a little better but not by A LOT. i would get the jubilee if your into the limited edition thing. that and the 580 jubilee hasa carbon fiber casing and steel mesh driver cover which apparently positively affect the SQ.

Have you compared the two side by side? Personally, I prefer the HD580 (non-jubilee) to the HD600, and all comparisons from the Jubilees to the regular 580's seem to be on the Jubilee's side.

Buy them, you probably will never get that chance again.

no, im only echoing stuff i've heard. most reviews seem to say that the HD 600 is a more refined version of the 580

The only differences between the regular 580 and 600 that I know of, are the grills, cup/band material and closer driver matching on the 600. Add the 600 grills to the 580 and you have 95% of a 600. Is the last 5% audible? I haven't done a side by side.

Maybe youre right and it is worth the 1 hour drive to the little store which has them
i guess the value wont drop much as if i choose a HD600 from which there many more to find

For the amp, im using a Denon PRA S10 which you see on the pic with my name
together with the DCD S10II

The HD600's are the same as the HD580 Jubilee.  They released the HD600 due to the positive response of the Jubilee.  I owned a pair for several years but I think you are really just paying extra money for a different paint scheme and model name.  I never noticed the Jubilees being in any real demand due to their collectability.

I couldnt resist and have even paid less, 180 euros for it
the serial is 2551
let the listening begin :)
by the way the foams in the earcups are different material than the standard HD580
more thin.
