I have a possibly common problem. My TV doesn't have a 3.5mm or 1/4" jack, so I can't plug my headphones directly into it. I want to use my HD 555s to play on my xbox. How can I achieve this without spending too much cash? I saw this item, will it work if I use component with my xbox instead of HDMI?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

perhaps your TV has connections to let it be hooked up to an amplifier?  you could get a cheap amp off ebay with a headphone socket then :)

What connections would I need? I have a digital audio out. I don't know anything about amps, could you be more specific? How much would an amp run me? I'm not trying to spend a lot. From what I understand, this (http://www.performanceaudio.com/cgi/product_view.cgi?products_id=10710) might be the item I'm looking for. But the thing is, it says mono. Does that mean I won't get a stereo signal to my headphones?
