Did a quick search and couldn't find any direct comparisons. Both are about the same in price. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts. Originally will not be amped, and driven directly from portable media player.

Do you plan on using them as a portable headphone?

Mostly at home and at work. Rarely on the commute but it would be nice to be able to wear them on bus/train.

HD555 is open, so it's not that suitable for commute, especially if Edmonton's train is as noisy as the TTC in Toronto

I only have the 380 pro, and I'm liking it so far.

Its main purpose wouldn't be on the commute, and if it were its short anyways (15 min) so i'm wondering what the benefits/differences are between sound.
Is one more bassy? etc?
