How come no one talks about these. Are they terrible or something? Would they be worth $50?

People say they're bad, but I find them to be GREAT for their price range. Usually my reccomendation for people in that price range actually (over sr60, 81dj).

I don't know about that. From what I've read, they're mediocre for anything beyond classical or jazz, and are overpriced. They're overshadowed by both the HD555/595 and by the newer, cheaper HD485. What I've heard (brief trial at Apple Store, so not entirely fair) bears out with what I've read.
