Hi,
I wanted to ask if anyone has tried the iBasso D4 or the Meier 3move with a pair of Sennheiser HD-380's? If so, what did you make of the combo?
I already own the phones and consider getting a portable dac/amp (leaning towards the D4). I would also use this to drive a pair of Goldring NS-1000 at the office.
Also if anyone could give me a ballpark figure of how a portable dac/amp in this class would sit on the following very "home made" scale:
Rank 2-3/10: Onboard soundcard's
Rank 4/10: ipod (lossless) -> Fiio LOD cable -> Fiio E5 -> HD-380.
Rank 6/10 ipod (lossless) -> Arcam IR-Dock -> Creek OBH-21 -> HD-380
Rank: 8/10: Computer (lossless) -> optical -> DacMagic -> Parasound PHP-850 preamp -> HD-380
(Rank: 10/10: Computer (lossless) -> optical -> DacMagic -> Parasound PHP-850 preamp -> Sugden Signature 41 amp -> b&w N805)
