Hey guys i previously owned HD 280s with a CHA 47. Now i have some grado SR225s (unamped). Both phones were hooked into an m audio revolution. Anyways the first thing in noticed about the grados was how small and light they are compared to the HD 280s

Also MY GOD the bass thumps on the SR225 compared to the anemic HD280 (almost sounds kinda muddy). Detail is also much greater with SR225s.
I'm using Flat Pads by the way.
For amps i'm looking at the gilmore light or Headsave Classic
