HD 280 Pro is thin and bright with super high isolation and mediocre comfort. HD 25-1 is warm, full-bodied and dark with more comfort and reasonable isolation. I like the HD 25-1. I hate the HD 280 Pro, and so will you if your budget permitted the HD 25-1 in the first place. I just don't think the 280 competes technically.

I agree, and I even like the sound of the cheaper HD25 SP ii better than my HD280 Pro.
having said that, the HD280 Pro sound great with my cmoy v. 2.02 BB.

Of course not - the HD 25-1 is almost double the price of the HD 280 Pro.
