I had a set of HS 25 1 ii years ago and have been missing them a lot. Was checking Amazon to get another set, and came across some I'd never heard of (and can't find much info about) called HD 25 Light

I'm not sure if it's a different driver/housing or just headbans?

Judging from the specs they did something to the cups. The loudness is lower and the frequency range got chopped, it could be as simple as foam on top of the drivers though.

I used to have the HD 25 ii Basic Edition and ditched them because the basses were too punchy for me (certainly useful for DJs, but not for less noisy environments).

I'm still nostalgic of these cups for their lightness and bombproof construction.

Provided that the main differences between the HD 25 ii Basic Edition and the HD 25 Light are:

- Frequency response 16 to 22,000Hz for the Basic Edition and 30 to 16,000Hz for the Light
- Impedance 70 ohms for the Basic Edition and 60 ohms for the Light

Would you experts say that theoretically the Light should have less or more punchy basses?

Thanks
