Just took delivery of an HRT Music Streamer II, plugged it using RCA to my Little Dot MK3, then hooked up a USB cable to my Macbook.
 
It recognises it, but everything is muted? I can't even adjust the volume. Have tried both USB ports too, and still the same result.

Any ideas?
 
EDIT - I've just tried playing music in iTunes and Vox player, and it plays... does the HRT override the computers master volume? I get no music at all when I try and play it in Enqueue. Still unable to adjust master volume on Macbook.
 
So, after a little research, it appears that there is no output volume control on Mac OSX. Had no idea!

In your picture are the volumes all of the way down for M, 1, and 2?  It looks like it on the pic.  Try sliding those all of the way up.
