Indeed,my cousin tried x5 in toronto and hes considering a17 now due to weight and size issues.

According to him,his shorts were barely on when he put x5 in pocket, lol.

Plus a good 1-2 hours per day is in gym where clip+ is the undisputed king.

Btw, the kc06/kc06a's are very easy to drive and have great synergy with the clip zip (but they don't isolate very much, so not so great for they gym I find).

Fair enough, it is a subjective point but I would love to read a comparison of the two, as there doesn't seem to be much about the Pro2 except for that one paragraph in Baycode's thread and other threads link to that post lol.

I read here the other day from someone (can't remember who) that it's hard to find the passion to do a comparison or review of a product that you really don't care too much about. Unfortunately that is true so I'm not going to do a full comparison but give you the short short version:

The Pro1 is balanced and have a great soundstage , not only in width but even more in depth and height. It's separation and imaging is one of the best I've ever heard and certainly the best I've ever heard in an IEM. Vocal reproduction is also the best I've ever heard in an IEM, very natural.

The Pro2 is v-shaped with VERY much bass impact. Subbass is strong and lack a bit of control making it pretty boomy. Bass bleeds quite a bit into the midrange. Vocals are actually very good but the bass tends to overpower the rest of the spectra so that the great vocals doesn't shine through the way it deserves. They have an average soundstage.

If you would like to know more I suggest you give them a try and post a full review here to help others find the information in the future.

How long have you burnt in your pro2? That was one main reason I mentioned a good comparison between them, most comments about them said they weren't as good so I doubt the person used them much, and comparing them brand new or will used 1's to barely used 2's won't give you a true and fair match.

Also, we all know the source plays a good role, I've used mine on an iPhone the whole time. It really is very difficult to get a fair comparison and since I can't afford another pair when what I have works fine, I just can't really believe the pro1 is that much better when the 2 sounds so good to me, but I haven't used any expensive phones like many of you so I don't really have a good reference to compare them to

Burned in for a couple of hundred hours. Source now was GeekOut720 to the Cayin C5 but I've owned them for about a year so I've tried them with multiple sources.

The Pro2 are very easy to drive though so more power than from a good phone shouldn't really be needed.

The regulars here tend to always burn in their stuff before making any judgement so I wouldn't worry to much about that.

Edit: as long as you're happy with them that's what counts :)

Yeah, I tend to run mine for a couple of weeks at least before posting any impressions at all. I listen to them for probably at least 5 hours a day so by the time I write any impressions on them they've had at least 80 hours of actual music listening at appropriate levels. Based on what peter123 has said up above, I think the Pro2 might sound similar to the VSonic GR06. If that was the case, I would certainly have to think about the GR06 instead because I actually have a pair and I definitely like the form factor better; they're smaller and the adjustable nozzles are actually really nice to have. I wish my Pro1's had adjustable nozzles.

Anyone with X5 agree that it drives Havi (B3 Pro I) unamped pretty cool?  It sounds great to my ears even at 40% volume level.

Can you guys recommend any DAP under 200$ that plays well with the Havi? I search around and find the X3 and the DX50 quite nice. If you guys have both I would love to have your opnion on them. The X3 is bundled with 64gb while the DX50 seems to have a much better sound, at least from what I found. Hard to decide between the two.
