Currently liking the T400, sort of miss the MBP because of the audio aspect and the whole "industry standard" issue. I'll probably also have to move to mac when I transfer to a 4 year art school. I did run across a "modbook", I saw these a few years ago, and thought they were out of budget, underpowered and gimmiky, now, they seem like a reasonable purchase. We'll see in the next few weeks coming. Plus, optical out and not having to deal with waspi, asio, etc.. Thus, qualifies for this blog post.
