So I have the HM5s and I think the title is pretty self explanatory , now 24 hours is a safe figure , I have completely re-cabled so lets the if the problem still persists , what could be the reason ?

Voice coil causing the problem or the connector shorting the left driver ? I don't know , I am sure one guy here will have a answer , thanks !

I don't have HM5s.  But some flexible cords cannot be soldered. They need crimp connections.

Well the HM5s have a normal PCB design , after re-cabling new signal wires they seem to be working fine now , I'll give them two days , if they die again then I'll have to replace the unit or find out the real problem , I am sure I'll find it out eventually
