Ok, in another attempt to get more information about the SA5000, I am asking all of you head-fi'ers out there who have experience with the V6/7506 as well as the SA5000 about this. To do a comparison, I listened to the same album (Takk by Sigur Ros) through my Perreaux--first on my HD650's, then through my 7506's. I realize that my 650's are in a class above my 7506's. But I was curious to see if I appreciated the difference in the treble/higher regions. I noticed a few differences between the two: The Senns seemed to have a more "lush" midsection which was missing from the Sonys. However, the Sonys did have more "life" or bounce to the higher end of the spectrum, and I appreciated that as well.
I guess what I'm asking is, do the SA5000's have any similarities to the 7506's, at least in terms of the spectrum reproduced? I love my HD650's but am starting to think that more detail may be where it's at, at least with some sorts of music.
