How many people have heard the "Casino Royale" soundtrack? Burt Bacharat (Sp) and Phil Spector.

Let it now be told. I am officially buying vinyl again. My first was a mint MFSL "Herb Alpert Presents Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66" LP and tonight I just completed an auction winning my other favourite piece of vinyl!

Yes. I love this album. And not because it's an audiophile album -- because I think Casino Royale stands at the epitome of sixties, psychedelic commerical comedies like "I Love You Alice B. Toklas" "The Party" "What's New *****cat" "What's Up Tiger Lilly (in a way)". (all featuring Peter Sellers, incidentally. And to which "Moulin Rouge" owes so much.). Come on, Woody Allen as Jimmy Bond slobering over Dahlia Lavia (SP) is the ultimate in hysteria. Plus, it's good to see Burt Bacharach back in business. But you either love or hate this album. For me, this is the fourth version of the soundtrack I've owned!

.... and it sounds good. (sometimes)

Yes. I have that DAD! I can hear it has the potential to sound great, but I'm not sure my mid-level Pioneer player is doing it full justice. I was just introduced to a fellow who has put together a home theater system of all B&W speakers with a great front end pushing them. I'll have to return and give my DAD of Casino Royale a spin.
