Hello, this is my first post here but I've been a 'lurker' for a while now!

So after reading through a few reviews on here I decided to get a Fiio E7 for my Sony Walkman, just to boost the volume (which is quite low) and get a better sound.

I ordered one from eBay which cost £59, it arrived today but I'm not sure it is real, the main thing that set alarm bells ringing was the box. I was expecting a plastic package similar to what my E5 came in, but this arrived in what looked like a recycled iPhone box.

Here's a few pictures (sorry in advance for the not so good quality!)....

I've tried contacting the seller but no response, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out!

That's how they come.. I have two E7's and they look the same as each other and the same as yours.

How do you find the sound quality and amplification on your FiiO?

Amplification - Great, a definite improvement from the internal amp on the Walkman, although not as loud as I was expecting, though still loud so no complaints on that front.

Sound Quality - Can't comment on that front yet as I'm still using the headphone jack out on the Walkman and I personally hear no difference using that connection method, the cable I ordered to draw audio from the Walkman's dock connector (bypassing the Walkmans internal amp) hasn't arrived yet unfortunately.

A fake fio is probably better than a real one, considering they're cheap crap in the first place.
