Pretty much what the title says. Price range is about 200 usd. I can go a bit over if needed but the headphones will have to last me 5+ years, I can't afford 200 dollar headphones every couple months.

Primary use will be gaming.

DT990 32-Ohm or 250-Ohm or 600-Ohm model?
What are you currently using now to drive the DT990?

So I am looking at:

Philips SHP9500

ATH-WS1100iS

DT 770 250 Ohm

The ATH are 30 bucks outside my price range though, One thing to mention is the 990s I have touch the my ears a bit so size might be an issue... Should I just go with the 770s?

To me the DT990 Pro 250-Ohm is already a bass heavy headphone.
I doubt the headphones you have listed will offer more bass.
(I own the DT770 and SHP9500 and DT990)
I would expect the Audio Technica ATH-WS100is to offer a more quality bass.

Any opinion on the V moda M 100s? How do the 770s bass compare to the 990? I heard that open headphones don't have much bass so I was assuming the 770s being quite a bit more bass heavy.

I doubt the V-Moda 100m have more bass then the DT990, maybe the V-Moda offers a more quality bass?
Unless i need to block outside noise, i prefer the DT990 to the DT770.
Normally open headphones have less bass then closed headphones, but the DT990 is kind of the exception to that rule.

Do you use that bass boost on the FiiO E11?

Do you plug the E11 directly into a motherboard's on-board audio jack?

The E11 is on setting number two, also on high gain and the switch underneath the battery is set to high aswell. E11 is plugged into my motherboard yes.

What I am mainly after is I guess called sub bass? I want explosions to really feel like explosions, right now they feel kind of flat.

Fidelio X2 have a good amount of bass, and sometimes drop to ~200.

V-Moda M100 are a basshead can if you want a ton of bass. Too much for my taste, though.

I missed this before my first post here, but the M-100 are definitely a basshead can to the T. I have the 770s and 880s, and the 770s have more bass being closed. I actually like the 770s way more than the 880s. I have the T90, which are new to me. The T90's have good bass, but I think the 770s still have more volume.

The Fidelio X2 are the middle ground. They're (semi?) open, but have a lot of bass. Very good sound overall.

A Bravo Ocean tube (hybrid) headphone amplifier ($80) might improve (over all sound) the DT990 for you.
An Asus Xonar DX sound card (used off eBay) might also improve audio quality (DAC function) over plugging the external headphone into the motherboard.

I have dt 990 250 too, just added to my collection the X2 . They have more bass wider soundstage and still preserve a very clear and sound. It depends on how much "bass" you want, I've the feeling that if you get more, you will lose detail and clarity. What kind of music do you usually listen?

These will be mainly for non competitive gaming. Things like fallout 4 and divinity original sin is what I'll be playing. I'm not into cs:go twitch shooters or anything that requires a huge soundstage bar anything else. I want explosions to rumble
