Have anyone heard Vienna Teng?

Thanks for the recommendation! I've been looking for someone like her for a while now - intelligent, thoughtful, and surprisingly young (around my age group).

There is a pleasant NPR interview available online for anyone else curious about this rather interesting individual:

I'd love to hear about any other singer/songwriters along the same lines as Vienna Teng....

Yes, she has become one of my girlfriend's favorites as well. Her songwriting is pretty decent. Here arrangements are soothing, and worth a listen. Add to that that she is an Asian-American making it in the music scene, and you got yourself a captive listener.

Hey, surprised to see this thread.

I saw her playing solo outside of a coffee shop on Santana Row (near cupertino or something... I forget). After listening to her for a while I went over and bought two of her CDs and got her to sign both. If anyone wants to buy the 2nd one off me just PM me.

i was listening to Tanya's Bored album and remembered this thread.. sorry for digging it back up and recommending it.

It's her first album and it sounds like it. It's a good one and i think you might like it if you appreciate Teng.
