Thanks for the recommendation! I've been looking for someone like her for a while now - intelligent, thoughtful, and surprisingly young (around my age group).

Yes, she has become one of my girlfriend's favorites as well. Her songwriting is pretty decent. Here arrangements are soothing, and worth a listen. Add to that that she is an Asian-American making it in the music scene, and you got yourself a captive listener.

Hey, surprised to see this thread.

I saw her playing solo outside of a coffee shop on Santana Row (near cupertino or something... I forget). After listening to her for a while I went over and bought two of her CDs and got her to sign both. If anyone wants to buy the 2nd one off me just PM me.

tori amos.... at least the earlier songs (from little earthquakes and under the pink.) latter ones are totally different though (kinda sucks now)... you know, this singer does have the early tori quality..... hmm.... probably should buy this CD.... thanks.

i was listening to Tanya's Bored album and remembered this thread.. sorry for digging it back up and recommending it.

It's her first album and it sounds like it. It's a good one and i think you might like it if you appreciate Teng.
