Yeah I would hook it all up - you can always plug into the card's headphone amp directly as well (as long as the card is in "Headphone" mode that jack will be active ++ the digital output as long as "Play mix to digital output" is enabled; yes you can have both at once). This also leaves the L/R analog output available for hooking up to some other component (e.g. speakers) as needed.

I'm confused. I thought from your first post that you already have the Modi 2 Uber and the Magni 2?

If you don't have it already, the Magni 2 alone could likely offer better sound just hooked up to the DX, assuming you can figure out how to get the mic input on the DX to work. The DX doesn't have a headphone amp like many other sounds cards, so the Magni 2 could help with that.

Now I'm confused too; I thought the same thing. If you already have the gear then yes I'd hook it up - if not I'd go after the amplifier by itself as cel4145 suggests.
