Would love to hear D100 v. Bifrost impressions in the future.

Me too. I bought the D100 like 2 months ago because I couldn't wait for Schiit to come out with the BiFrost.

Hey all,

Quick update: if you've been trying to order via Google Checkout and have had a "we don't ship to that international address" error, the problem is now fixed.

Also, if you've ordered via PayPal and had your funds transferred immediately, we've also fixed that problem as well. We'll contact the early orderers starting tomorrow so you can cancel your order and place one that will be billed only when it ships.

Sorry for the runaround--the new cart came a little last-minutey, so it needed tweaking.

All the best,
Jason

Jason....Ed from AudioCircle here.....I got mine on order and got the buzz going for you guys over at AC. I just noticed the Esoteric DAC for $22,500.00 use the same chip as the Bifrost for $449.00---that is some good Schiit!!!!!
Jason you guys know I'm sure that this product at this time can't be a miss, its gotta be a homerun....how does the Bifrost sound. Is it similar to any others as far as tonal qualities?? Low end presentation??

Also as a Grado user and modder of same I love that sound but want to try other headphones for different sounds, which amp is better suited for various headphones. Should I think Asgard or Valhalla if I waant to use Grado's and then maybe switch to Beyer the next day..follow me???

 Thanks
 Ed

Asgard for sure, and to answer your question from your forum, you should try some entry level custom IEMs like the JH5, etc. There are dozens that are in your price range. Check out this guide for more options: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/541494/custom-iem-resource-thread-summary-reviews-info-custom-iem-manufacturers#post_7302111

looks gorgeous, the specs seem out of this world for the price, but I was honestly hoping the entry one would be in the <$200 range, albeit I also wasn't expecting such a feature-packed DAC. It seems like this should be absolutely top notch!...Why'd you guys have to make your Schiit so good??? (kidding)

It woudl look so good sitting on top of my silver Marantz receiver...maybe next to a Schiit Asgard... A college student can dream, right?

The top DAC is supposed to come in at the high triple digits to low quadruple digits. So we should expect $900-1200 or so. Not sure where the balanced DAC will be. A general idea was posted, but since I'm not looking for a balanced DAC I didn't pay attention. I'd expect at least $700.
