Has anyone used mic isolation shields behind their heads for open headphones?

So I have a set of open headphones which of course leaks everything. I also have a newborn sleeping in the other room, and sometimes I wonder if there is some way to lessen the amount of noise coming from my head. I don't want to soundproof the room I am in since it's not practical to do that just for the purpose of using my headphones. I was thinking something along the lines of using the mic shield (monoprice has for around $50) with my existing tripod or something to set it behind my head so the noise that leaks is dampened?

Wondering if anyone has tried that or tried something similar thats budget friendly and simple.

Or maybe like buying a cheap kids play tent, and covering it with felt or a light blanket, and just listening inside of it
