I just stumbled upon this today while checking CEC's products. CEC, as some of you may know, had been a part of Sanyo group and now is independent boutique firm (I believe it's now half German), has earned a reputation as CD player/transport manufacturer. The most famous one is its proprietary "belt-drive" mechanism.

Anyway, this forum is about portable and I get to the point. Check this out.

I wonder whether someone, especially in Europe or Japan, has seen or heard something about this? Looks way cool, and lets me expect something more than current popular brands do, while admittedly this will probably cost $$$.

I looks kinda okay, and it has a metal casing, so it has to be quite resistant. This particular maker is a OEM, so perhaps this thing has a so-so quality, at least regarding audio.
